I do not think you knowledge is shallow....I just think having seen a show live is a very big deal and it should not be discounted.

Then we're in complete agreement. Seeing a show, if it were the right one, certainly would have been a life-shaping experience, especially if I were 16! I am incredibly envious of my parent generation for this.

I generally agree, but shows varied, some where better some where worse. I guess you should just know that on any given night it MAY not have been life changing. Heck you might just get another "Red Roster". It may just be a show. However if you hung (saw more than just a show) you would have no doubt have hit a great night. Not only would have the memory of that special event, but you would have made friends and lived some adventure that you will be talking about for the rest of you life......
